Fossil fuels like oil and natural gas are back in the Earth’s energy consumption mix.

The US and the entire world heard President Donald Trump say that immediately after his inauguration at the Capitol, he would issue —and did so on January 20, 2025—an executive order instructing his Ambassador to the United Nations to notify his decision to withdraw the US from the Paris Agreement of COP21 of November 2015, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, including CO2.

In the end, according to internal UN sources, none of the major economic powers, including Japan, China, Indonesia, Russia, the EU, the UK, Germany, Canada, and the US, could meet the 2030 target, except for (some useful idiots), the angelic accessory countries always in a hurry to comply – with the help of NGOs that are even funded, for example, by the so-called Green political parties in Germany – with their imperceptible targets, which don't even affect greenhouse gas emissions.

This decision has unleashed a tremendous political, social, economic, and environmental impact   !

With the declaration of a National Energy Emergency, the US unequivocally declares its opposition to all treaties, pacts, agreements, or similar commitments under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change . And, in that same context, it also orders the immediate revocation and cessation of any financial obligations undertaken by the US under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, which would cost the nation three trillion dollars to comply with, arguing that these commitments limit the productivity of key sectors such as the automotive industry.

What US President Donald Trump has said and resolved – with Presidential Executive Orders – is simply what everyone has heard him say since he began his first presidential campaign back in 2016, and then during his public appearances in the recent 2023 election campaign for this second presidential term.

"Promises made, promises kept"

To be consistent with his thoughts, I quote regarding the environmental issue, "I am concerned about the environment, but I cannot in good faith support a treaty that punishes our country," said Donald Trump on June 2, 2017.

So let no one say it's a surprise, or that it caught anyone off guard!
